Nayaka Community demands Dy.CM post

Mysuru: With the Congress-JD(S) alliance all set to form Government in the State, the Nayaka Community has sought the appointment of senior Congress MLA from Belagavi Satish Jarkiholi as the Deputy Chief Minister (Dy.CM).

Addressing a press meet at Pathrakartara Bhavan here this morning, Karnataka Rajya Nayaka Hitarakshana Vedike President Dyavappa Nayaka said that Community MLA Satish Jarkiholi has been elected for several terms from Belagavi district and the Congress-JD(S) Government should appoint him as the Dy.CM considering   his seniority.

Pointing out that 10 Nayaka Community MLAs were elected from Congress and JD(S)  in the Assembly polls, he also demanded induction of at least three community MLAs, including senior Congress leader V.S. Ugrappa as Ministers.

Srirampura GP President Choodamani, Community leader Raghu S. Yadakola and others were present at the press meet.
