Mysuru: Thousands of BJP and various Hindu  Organisations activists left the city in buses and tempo travellers this morning to Bengaluru as part of Janagraha Rally organised by Vishwa Hindu Parishath (VHP) to build pressure on the Union Government to bring an ordinance for construction of Ram Temple at Ayodhya.

They left the city in 120 buses including 60 KSRTC buses, trains, taxis, mini cabs and other modes of transportation to mount pressure on the government to build the temple at the disputed site in Ayodhya.         

Mysuru-Kodagu  MP Pratap Simha, MLAs S.A. Ramdas and L. Nagendra, former MLC Thontadarya, BJP National Committee Member B.P Manjunath, City BJP President B.H. Manjunath, former Minister Shivanna, former MLC  C. Ramesh, BJP leaders Mallappagowda, Jogi Manju, Rajesh, BJP Corporators and other elected representatives led the rally from city.

VHP is hosting this public referendum rally at National College Grounds in Basavanagudi at 4 pm till 7 pm today.  Apart from City and District, activists from neighbouring districts of Kodagu, Mandya, Chamarajanagar left from their places in hundreds of  vehicles for the rally.

Speaking to reporters in city this morning,  Chamaraja MLA L. Nagendra said that Vishwesha Teertha Swamiji of Pejawar Mutt, Nirmalanandanatha Swamiji of Adichunchanagiri Mutt and Siddalinga Swamiji of Tumakuru Siddaganga Mutt, Chinmayanand Saraswati Maharaj of Paramartha Ashrama, Haridwar, Bhagayyaji of RSS and Milind Parande, General Secretary of VHP, will be the main Speakers.

Bengaluru is one of three places, along with Ayodhya and Nagpur, where the VHP has organised public meetings on Sunday.

A national convention will be held in New Delhi on December 9 where the organisation will announce its future course of action regarding the construction of Ram Mandir.

Nagendra said the party will hold similar programmes in Madikeri, Udupi, Chitradurga, Davanagere, Shivamogga and Mangaluru in coming days.
