Srirangapatna: In order to ensure the victory of his son Nikhil Kumaraswamy, who is contesting as the coalition candidate from Mandya LS Constituency, with actress Sumalatha Ambarish contesting as an independent candidate and launching an aggressive campaign, Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy is said to have held a closed door meeting with Mandya JD(S) legislators and leaders at a private hotel in KRS in the taluk late last night.

The CM discussed strategies to be adopted from now on to ensure the victory of his son Nikhil, which is crucial for him.

The CM is also said to have deliberated on reworking the strategy, if need be, to ensure that JD(S) candidate gets lead in all the eight Assembly segments of the Constituency.

The meeting was attended by all Legislators from Mandya, barring Malavalli MLA Dr. K. Annadani, it is learnt.
