Kalaatma 2020: Online Music Concerts from tomorrow

Mysore/Mysuru: Dhruv Arts presents ‘Kalaatma 2020,’ an eclectic series of concerts featuring eminent Indian Classical Musicians celebrating the charm and vigour of monsoon season from Oct. 2 to 4. 

The festival aims to bring together the artist community and invoke  positivity and hope amidst the ongoing crisis. The line-up includes senior artistes and also provides a platform for up and coming artistes. The event will be streamed live on YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/DhruvArtsFestival

Oct. 2 – 10.30 pm: Nadaswara Recital by Bangalore B.S. Ramesh Babu and B. Srinivas. Thavil by Ragu and Manjunath.

Oct. 3 – 8.30 pm: Talk and presentation on monsoon ragas in Karnatak music by Dr. T.S. Sathyavathi and disciples with Dr. Jyotsna Srikanth on violin and Renuka Prasad on mridanga; 10 pm: ‘Rain,’ an instrumental solo depiction by Shadrach Solomon on keyboards/ piano; 10.45 pm: Monsoon Raga Special North Indian Classical Harmonium Recital by Ravindra Katoti with Tejas Katoti on harmonium and Gurumurthy Vaidhya on tabla.

Oct. 4 – 7 pm: Karnatak Veena Recital by Aishwarya Manikarnika with Rakshith Sharma on mridanga; 8 pm:  Karnatak Violin Recital by Dr. Jyotsna Srikanth with Anoor Ananthakrishna Sharma on mridanga and Vyasa Vittala on kanjira; 9.30 pm: Talk by Srikanth Sharma on ‘Effectiveness in the propagation of Indian Classical Music in the 21st Century’; 10.30 pm:  Music Concert by Dr. Hamsini Nagendra with Mathoor Srinidhi H.S. Sudhindra on mridanga and A.S.N. Swamy  on kanjira, according to a press release.
