Mysuru: Col. (Prof.) Y.S. Siddegowda, Vice-Chancellor of Tumkur University, has been selected for the prestigious Fellowship of the National Institute of Personnel Management (NIPM). 

The NIPM has selected Prof. Siddegowda for the award for his yeoman service to NIPM, Mysuru Chapter, and to the field of Human Resource Management in general. He has been the Chairperson of the NIPM, Mysuru Chapter for two terms. 

Prof. Siddegowda has guided thousands of youths towards getting into their professions and occupying promising positions through his contact and communication with HR officials across the country, during his 37 years of service in academia.

He has supported students graduating not only from Social Work Departments but also from other Departments at the State and National levels, towards building successful career.

Prof. Siddegowda, who has served as Registrar in three Universities for four terms, has continued his pragmatic programmes complementary to the professional life of the students even in Tumkur University as its Vice-Chancellor.
