Mysore/Mysuru: Stepping onto the “Antim Pag” (last leg) is truly a dream of every defence aspirant. One such aspirant, who has recently passed out of Indian Naval Academy, Payyanur in Kerala, is Sub Lieutenant Rakshith Narayan Pai from Mysuru.
Rakshith did his schooling from Kendriya Vidyalaya Mysuru. He joined the NCC and represented Karnataka in PM’s Republic Day Rally in 2017. He had an inclination to join the Armed Forces at a very young age. He later enrolled for engineering but discontinued it to pursue his dream after Service Selection Board, Visakhapatnam.
He joined the prestigious Indian Naval Academy where cadets are shaped into young officers with B.Tech engineering. The cadets undergo rigorous training both in the academics, naval subjects and different games. The Academy, spread across 2,500 acres is a world in itself with hill on onside, beach on the other and top-class amenities.
Based on specialisation, the cadets, after completion of their 4-year tenure are headed to their respective branch. Rakshith opted for mechanical branch and has moved to INS Shivaji, Lonavala in Maharashtra for his specialisation.
Rakshith is the son of Manoj, Senior Section Engineer, Central Workshop, South Western Railway and Nanditha Shenoi, Administrator, JSS Ayurveda Hospital.
