1.02 acre land compensation for 32 gunta land: Complaint lodged with MUDA Commr. for action against erring officials

October 5, 2021

Mysore/Mysuru: Accusing Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) of providing compensation amount for 1.02 acre land after acquiring only 32 gunta land, Aam Admi RTI Activists Association President A.G. Krishna Reddy had lodged a complaint with MUDA Commissioner seeking action against erring officials.

In his complaint, Reddy has stated that 32 gunta land in the ownership of Ramegowda and Siddegowda in Survey No. 87 at Hinkal village was acquired and the RTC also shows that only 32 gunta land was acquired by the MUDA.

But the officials have also taken 10 gunta ‘Kharab’ land into consideration and have provided compensation to 1.02 acre land, Reddy said and added that one 30X40 site and two 20X30 sites have been sanctioned as compensation to land measuring 1.02 acre. When there is a mention of 32 gunta land being acquired in the RTC, what happened to the remaining 10 gunta land, he questioned.

Pointing out that officials should first verify the original documents before acquiring the land, Reddy said that in this case, the officials say that the land acquisition documents were not available which is strange and the officials have sanctioned sites as compensation to the land owners in Vijayanagar 4th stage.

Here, the documents clearly show that corruption has taken place in this case and Reddy has urged for action against the erring officials and has produced documents in this regard.
