Madikeri: A tiger has been spotted wandering inside a coffee estate in Maldare Gram Panchayat limits in broad daylight. The tiger was sighted inside Margolli Coffee Estate which has created a sense of fear among the villagers.

Following the sighting of the huge tiger recently, workers have stopped coming to work and picking of coffee and pepper has been completely stopped resulting in huge loss to the growers.

Meanwhile, villagers alleged that they were already suffering from crop losses due to wild elephants raiding their plantation and now spotting of tiger in broad daylight inside the coffee estate had created fear among all.

Despite complaining to Forest officials about it, nothing has been done to capture the tiger, the villagers accused.
