Mysore/Mysuru: A 41-year-old woman, who had sustained serious injuries, when an unidentified car hit her and sped away on Dec. 22, 2021 and admitted to a private hospital in city, has succumbed to injuries at the hospital yesterday midnight.

The deceased is Sridevi, wife of Bharatiya Reserve Bank Note Mudran Private Limited (BRBNMPL) Assistant Manager Manjunath Raj and a resident of KHB Colony in Hootagalli.

On Dec. 22, 2021, Sridevi along with her daughter was proceeding towards city on her scooter, when an unidentified car rammed into the scooter at about 12 noon near Paduvarahalli on Hunsur Road and sped away.

While Sridevi sustained serious injuries, her daughter Gagana escaped with minor injuries. Sridevi, who was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in city, succumbed to injuries at the hospital yesterday.

Post-mortem was conducted at MMC&RI mortuary this morning and the body was handed over to the family members.

V.V. Puram Traffic Police, who have registered a case, have launched a hunt to trace the unidentified car.
