‘Shramik Sanjeevini’ and ‘Karmika Adalat-2.0’ vehicles launched

‘Labour Adalat’ from July 15

Mysore/Mysuru: Senior Civil Judge Devaraj Bhute, who is also the Member-Secretary of District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), flagged off a Mobile Health Clinic vehicle under ‘Shramik Sanjeevini’ scheme and ‘Karmika Adalat-2.0’ vehicle at the launch event organised at new Court Complex at Malalavadi in Jayanagar yesterday.

Speaking on the occasion, Judge Bhute said that the Mobile Health Clinic vehicle will travel in high labour and construction worker density areas of the city and district from Monday to Saturday every week at the specified time.

Pointing out that the scheme covers all registered construction and other workers and their dependents and are provided free health services, he said that the Mobile Health Clinic features first aid treatment, testing and Diagnostics Lab, COVID detection kits, care of pregnant women and lactating mothers, injections for ailments and such other treatment facilities. The scheme also includes health education, environment and hygiene awareness campaigns and such other initiatives, he added.

Labour Officer Rajesh Jadhav said that a month-long ‘Karmika Adalat-2.0 ‘(Labour Adalat) will be held from July 15 to Aug. 15 in the district, during which issues concerning construction and other workers will be discussed and addressed. Labour Welfare Board has given 3 autos and 1 Tata Ace vehicle which will be used for carrying out widespread campaigns on the benefits under various Labour Welfare Schemes and initiatives, he said.

The Adalat will also feature new registrations and renewal of membership, Jadhav added.
