Election Commission of India to present National Media Award-2022

Mysore/Mysuru: The Election Commission of India (ECI) has invited applications from media organisations for presentation of National Media Award-2022.

The award will be presented to those media organisations which have educated and created awareness among public about the elections through their publications and broadcast.

National Media Award will be presented in four categories — Print Media, Television (Electronic), Radio (Electronic) and Online (Internet)/Social media.

Print media organisations must submit the hard copy of their news published in the paper, soft copy in the form of PDF, website link of the news if published online along with date, photograph of the whole news published in their newspapers or magazines or any documents supporting the interaction with the public in-person.

Electronic media organisations including Television and Radio must submit the soft copy of their broadcast with complete details in the form of CD or DVD or through pen drive, little information about the awareness created through their broadcast.

Online or social media organisations must submit summary of their works about election awareness to people through posts, tweets, blogs, campaigns or write-ups. The soft copy must be submitted or the link in which the news item is published must be submitted.

All the media coverage must be in English or Hindi language. However, if the media organisations have published their contents in any other language they must submit the English translation of their original content. The final decision will be taken by the Jury members who will only look into the first 10 minutes of any programme.

No other correspondence will be entertained apart from content submission.
