Global Amrita Alumni Reunion sees many reminisce memories on campus

Mysore/Mysuru: A festive atmosphere and nostalgia pervaded Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Mysuru campus at Bogadi Second Stage, as the alumni of the campus got together for the Global Amrita Alumni Reunion 2023 recently.

The event was formally inaugurated and addressed by Principal of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Mysuru Dr. G. Ravindranath,

For the first time Amrita had organised this global event in hybrid mode in 108 locations across the world in four different time zones.

The Global Alumni Meet aimed to bring the esteemed alumni back to their alma mater and forge connections with the present students and faculty to explore opportunities for engagement, contribution, and growth.

Chancellor of the University Sadhguru Sri Mata Amritanandamayi Devi addressed and wished the alumni virtually.

As part of the event, a joint announcement was made with America’s top 10 globally ranked Yale University for joint alumni projects.

Amrita Alumni website was also unveiled on the occasion.

The students presented mesmerising dance performance and rendered music to engage the alumni.

The alumni also performed and made the event memorable and shared their experiences of the fun-filled days of their college, and shared their learnings from the workplace and interacted with fellow batch-mates, teachers and cherished their good old college days.

The alumni relived their memories related to hostel days and the taste of food in the mess.

The University had also arranged a gala banquet dinner for the alumni.

Best DJ night by city’s popular DJ Suraj Gupta and cracker show added colour to the event.

Around 350 alumni and their spouses participated in the event physically at Amrita Mysuru campus.

Director of Amrita Mysuru Brahmachari Anantaanada Chaitanya, Correspondent Brahmachari Muktidamrta Chaitanya, Academic Coordinator Dr. Rekha Bhat and others were present on the occasion.
