Karnataka leads in implementation of Central Projects: BJP Spokesperson

April 29, 2023

Mysore/Mysuru: Asserting that Karnataka leads other States in the implementation of Central Government Projects, BJP National Spokesperson Gopalkrishna Agarwal exuded confidence that the party would retain power in the State.

Addressing a press meet at the Party Office in Chamarajapuram here yesterday, Agarwal said that 94 percent of Karnataka  beneficiaries of Kisan Samman scheme have received money. But non-BJP ruled States such as Kerala, Tamil Nadu and West Bengal have been lagging far behind, which is the best example of why Karnataka needs a double-engine Government.

Continuing, Agarwal said that the Modi-led Government has granted Rs.28 lakh crore funds for social welfare programmes over the past 9 years, as compared to just Rs.4 lakh crore given by the Congress headed UPA Government in its 10 years of rule. Noting that Karnataka has achieved 65 percent of the target under Harghar Jal Scheme aimed at providing potable drinking water to every household, he said Bengaluru, which is an IT and BT hub, has attracted 48 percent of FDI.

Maintaining that it is PM Modi’s able leadership that has made India an economically powerful country, he said that the Investor-friendly and ease of doing business initiatives have taken the country to higher levels in respect of International trade.

Contending that the Modi Government has plugged the leakage of money in administration and projects, Agarwal asserted that Modi’s transparent administration has been an inspiration for the country’s population and as such the BJP continues to be  the most favoured party of the electorate.

Claiming that it was the UPA Government which introduced the NPS (New Pension Scheme) in 2004, which has become the bone of contention,  he said that the Congress is now making unnecessary issue, which is nothing but  a farce.

Charging the Congress of failing to give a pro-people administration in its 65-years rule, he cited a statement of Rajiv Gandhi, who as Prime Minister had said that hardly 15 paise of a rupee reached the targeted beneficiary while 85 percent was going waste on account of pilferage. The digital technology promoted by Modi-led  Union Government had largely helped in plugging loopholes and pilferage in the implementation of schemes and plans, he added.
