Mysore/Mysuru: Amritakripa Charitable Hospital, managed by Mata Amritanandamayi Math, had organised a “Dry-Lab simulation in Laparoscopic suturing skill programme for General Surgeons and Gynaecologists” on Nov.4 and 5 at Amritakripa Hospital, Roopanagar.
Dr. Vikas Modi, Consultant Laparoscopic Surgeon and Director at Amritakripa Hospital, emphasised the importance of dry lab simulation in training for General Surgeon and Gynaecologist. This programme aims to provide surgeons with the necessary skills and expertise to perform laparoscopic suturing techniques effectively and safely.
First day was focused on basic suturing skills and 2nd day was for advanced suturing skills. The training was given by Prakash Babu, a master trainer in Laparoscopic suturing with experience of 25 years. Doctors from Mysuru Hospitals and Medical Colleges participated. Even surgeons from Kerala attended. Totally 20 experienced doctors participated each day in the training on advanced laparoscopic simulation equipment. Amritakripa Hospital plans to regularly conduct such programmes for the benefit of surgeons in Mysuru and nearby districts.
