Mysore/Mysuru: A total of 83 students who excelled in the recently held SSLC, II PUC and CBSE Class X and XII examinations were feted with Pratibha Puraskar at a function organised by Sri Krishna Mitra Mandali, in association with Sri Krishna Sabha Trust, at Sri Krishna Sabha Bhavan in T.K. Layout.
Addressing the gathering, L. Ravi Shastri, President of Mysuru Hotel Owners Charitable Trust, cautioned students about a growing threat of organised gangs targeting meritorious PU students and luring them into drug abuse and other vices. “Talented students, particularly from Brahmin community, must remain vigilant and avoid such destructive influences,” he warned.
Emphasising the sacrifices made by parents for their children’s education and future, Shastri urged the students to take care of their parents instead of sending them to old age homes. “SSLC and PUC are life’s turning points. The success you achieve at this stage will take you closer to your goals,” he added.
