Ten-day College Rangothsava at Rangayana from tomorrow

Mysuru: B.V. Karanth College Rangothsava, organised by Rangayana, will be held from Sept. 11 to 20 at Bhoomigeeta in Rangayana premises, said Rangayana Director Bhagirathi Bai Kadam here yesterday.

Addressing presspersons at her office, she said that the event would be inaugurated by noted stand-up comedian Prof. M. Krishnegowda on Sept. 11 at 5.30 pm.

Karnataka Nataka Academy Member Shantha Kulkarni will be the chief guest.

A total of 15 colleges including Maharani’s Science College, St. Philomena’s College, Music University, PRM Vijaya FGC   (T. Narasipur), MMK&SDM College for Women will take part in the theatre festival.

Entry tickets for the show are priced at Rs. 30 each.

Similarly, the Navaratri Rangothsava, organised by Rangayana, will be clubbed with College Rangothsava with theatre-lovers getting to watch some of the best plays from Sept. 21 to 29.

Kalaburagi Rangayana Director Mahesh Patil, Dharwad Rangayana Director Prakash Hudagi, Rangothsava Convenor Santosh Kumar Kusanoor and Rangayana Joint Director V.N. Mallikarjunaswamy were present during the press meet.
