Mysuru: Noted novelist and Saraswathi Samman awardee Dr. S.L. Bhyrappa (94) passed away at a private hospital in Bengaluru this afternoon. He was ailing from sometime.

Born on Aug. 20, 1931, at Santheshivara in Hassan, Dr. Bhyrappa was a resident of Udayaravi Road in Kuvempunagar, Mysuru.
