400 District Cops perform Yogasanas

Mysuru: The five-day Yoga Camp for District Police concluded at DAR Parade Grounds in Jyothinagar here recently.

Speaking at the valedictory of the camp, Mysuru SP Mallikarjun Baladandi said yoga is key for the Police to maintain concentration and firmness while dealing with the public.

Maintaining that the health of the society can be alright if the health of the Police remains good, Baladandi called upon his sub-ordinates to take part in sporting activities along with practising yoga daily.

Stressing on the need for Police personnel to maintain good physical and mental health, he said a good physical fitness will also do good for the department.

About 400 Police personnel of the District underwent training in various yogasanas such as Surya Namaskara, Pranayama, Dhyana, Sukhasana, Tadasana, Bhujangasana, Vajrasana etc., under the guidance of International Yoga exponent Dr. Bhageerathi over five days.

Additional SPs Nagesh and C. Mallik, DAR Dy.SP Veeranna and others were present.
