Musical evening dedicated to noted poet Dr. Ka. Vem. Srinivasamurthy

Mysore/Mysuru: A grand musical evening titled ‘KaVemSri – Geetha Sanje’ has been organised under the joint auspices of Karnataka Sugama Sangeetha Parishat, Mysuru District Unit and Sri Anantheswara Trust, Mysuru, at Town Hall in city on May 28 from 5 pm.

The event, dedicated to introducing the rich literary world of renowned poet, thinker and literary achiever Dr. Ka.Vem. Srinivasamurthy (KaVemSri), will be held under the leadership of Dr. Nagaraj V. Bairy, President of Karnataka Sugama Sangeetha Parishat, Mysuru Unit.

Sri Ilai Alwar Swamiji will grace the occasion. The formal inauguration will be done by the honoree himself,  Dr. Srinivasamurthy. Dr. Bairy will preside.

MCCI President K.B. Lingaraju will be the chief guest. Mysuru District Kannada Sahitya Parishat President Maddikere Gopal, Journalist Amshi Prasanna Kumar and social worker Raghuram Vajpayee will be the guests of honour.

Led by the accomplished vocalist, Shwetha Dinesh, a talented team of Sugama Sangeetha artistes, comprising Narasimha Murthy, S.V. Erriswamy, H.V. Thirumalesh, Ningaraju, Geetha Lakshmi Kini, Sujatha Jayakumar, Rekha, Padma Rao, Joyce Thomas, S. Shwetha and Nethravathi will render selected bhavageethes and poems penned by Dr. Ka.Vem. Sri.

Dr. Ka.Vem. Srinivasamurthy is a prominent poet and writer who has carved a niche for himself in the field of Kannada literature. Preserving the unique flavour and essence of Kannada language, he has beautifully expressed modern life’s struggles, emotions, humanity and social values through his simple yet touching poems.

His literature vividly reflects life philosophies, societal realities and intricacies of human relationships.

Having contributed significantly to Kannada literature, criticism, public speaking and intellectual discourses, his lectures and poetry recitations have won hearts across various literary platforms.
