Mysuru: Candidates who had appeared for the Ph.D entrance exam conducted by the University of Mysore have alleged that several questions were lifted from a website and printed exactly as published in the website.
The candidates had taken up the entrance exam seeking admission for Ph.D. in Political Science recently.
The students claimed that the 100 marks question paper comprised 50 marks for essay type questions and another 50 marks for objective type questions out of which 18 questions of objective type have been lifted directly from a website and printed as it is.
Meanwhile, University of Mysore In-Charge Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dayanand Mane speaking to Star of Mysore yesterday said that a three-member panel from other Universities are given charge of framing the questions and added that he was enquiring as to how 50 per cent of the questions were lifted from the website.
He further said that as University of Mysore or other Universities cannot take action directly, he would recommend the authorities concerned to blacklist the names of the three persons who were in-charge of framing the questions.
Prof. Mane said that the University is planning to conduct a re-exam to provide justice to the students and the date of the re-exam would be announced shortly.
