KSOU to get back recognition soon

Mysuru: Union Ministers Prakash Javadekar and H.N. Ananthakumar have assured  former Minister S.A. Ramdas of taking measures for renewal of recognition of Karnataka State Open University (KSOU) by the UGC.

Ramdas, who met the two Union Ministers at a seminar organised at BMS Engineering College in Bengaluru recently, apprised them of the problems that KSOU students were facing following de-recognition of the University.

Ramdas highlighting the severe problems that lakhs of students enrolled with the University are facing, told the Minsters that two students have already committed suicide over the issue, while others have slipped into depression.

Speaking to ‘SOM’ Ramdas said that Human Resource Minister Prakash Javadekar and Minster for Chemicals and Fertilizers have assured him of making all efforts to convince the UGC on renewal  of recognition of KSOU.
