Vocal concert at RAAGA on Apr. 21

RAAGA Music Academy is presenting Vidu.  H.R. Krithi in its April concert on Saturday, at 5.30 pm at Prajna Kuteera, Vishwamanava Double Road, Kuvempunagar.

“A passionate musician eagerly willing to contribute to the cause of the art” is how Krithi describes herself. She started learning Karnatak classical music and Bharatanatyam from the tender age of five. Later, her focus shifted to classical music under the tutelage of her mother Vidu. Shubha Ramaswamy and also for a year under veteran Vidu. Neela Ramgopal.

An Engineering graduate, a distinction holder in senior grade music, she is a B High graded artiste of AIR. She has given thematic concerts on the life and contribution of Shyama Shastry and Sadashiva Brahmendra. Krithi has performed in prestigious sabhas like Shanmukhananda Hall, Mumbai, Madras Music Academy, Narada Gana Sabha, Indian Fine Arts, Chennai, Mysore Palace and at Dubai. Her concerts have been telecast and  broadcast by visual and audio media.

Winner of many awards and prizes like Prathibhakankshi award from Rama Seva Mandali, Bengaluru, Bala Bhaskara, Prathibha Puraskara from Sangeetha Nrutya Academy, Government of Karnataka, she is versatile and scholarly.

She will be accompanied by a team of accomplished artistes like Vid. M.V. Vishwajith on the violin, Vid. A. Radhesh on the mridanga and Vid. Raghunandan Rao on the ghata.

Dr. N.V. Krishnamurthy, Director, Prajna Kuteera, will give a talk on Healthy Living through Yoga and Ayurveda from 4.30 pm to 5.15 pm, prior to the concert on Apr. 21, as part of the concept of Wellness and Music.
