A disaster is waiting on Jodi Tenginamara Road

June 9, 2019

Mysuru: A huge pit next to a manhole near a cement godown on Jodi Tenginamara Road is waiting to snuff out lives of innocent motorists if the authorities don’t act fast. It is learnt that the huge pit was created following a portion of the road caving-in.

Hundreds of vehicles including trucks pass on this road that connects Karakushalanagar, B.M. Sri Nagar and the Outer Ring Road. The number of two-wheelers moving on this road is more.

As the pit cannot be seen from a distance, there are chances of two-wheeler riders falling after going into the pit as the streetlights are defunct since many days which may result in fatalities, hence the public have placed a big stone in front of the pit to warn motorists.

If loaded trucks or other heavy vehicles pass by the pit, there are chances of the road again caving-in.

The public have urged the authorities concerned to take steps to get the road repaired at the earliest and prevent fatalities from happening.
