Mysore/Mysuru: In yet another measure for public convenience, the District Administration has decided to set up Aadhaar registration centres (Aadhaar Seva Kendras) in all taluks of the district.
Addressing a meeting of officials at his office here yesterday, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Dr. K.V. Rajendra directed the officials to provide all necessary infrastructure for the setting up of Aadhaar Kendras in all taluks.
Pointing out that the staff manning the Kendra should be properly trained for carrying out that Aadhaar-related works, he said that the Kendra will be of much help to the people in rural areas, who have to come to city from far off distance for their Aadhaar card-related works such as corrections, change of address, updation etc.
Noting that all the citizens who are over 10 years of age should update their Aadhaar card, Dr. Rajendra said that the people can visit their nearest centres for all Aadhaar-related works.
The DC instructed the officials to create public awareness on the Aadhaar Centres at all levels.
The DC further said that the Head of Mysuru Aadhaar Kendra has been asked to address Aadhaar card loss issues. The Aadhaar Centre at the DC’s office will start rendering service soon to those who have lost their Aadhaar cards, he added.
