Abdul Wajid (88), Senior Scientist (Retd.), Central Tobacco Research Institute, Hunsur and a resident of Bannimantap HUDCO Colony, passed away following brief illness on Aug. 29 in city.

He leaves behind his wife, two sons, one daughter and a host of relatives and friends.

Namaz-e-Janaza was held at Masjid-e-Tipu after Isha prayers, followed by the burial at the Muslim Burial Ground near Tipu Circle, according to family sources.
