Acclaimed musicians visit Mysore Palace

Smitha Srikiran, a resident of Saraswathipuram in Mysuru and an A-Grade flautist with All India Radio Mysuru (Akashvani), along with Sandeep Singh from Jalandhar, Punjab, who comes from a family of traditional Raagis (Sikh devotional singers) and is also an A-Grade artiste with All India Radio and Doordarshan, visited the Mysore Palace recently. They are seen with T.S. Subramanya, Deputy Director, Mysore Palace Board. Smitha and Sandeep were among the 78 performers who showcased India’s rich musical heritage at G20 Summit – 2023 held at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. Smitha performed Karnatak instrumental flute, while Sandeep Singh performed Hindustani classical instrumental – Dilruba.
