AIDSO stages demonstration for hostel admission

July 10, 2019

Mysuru: Over a hundred students from different colleges, under the banner of All India Democratic Students Organisation (AIDSO), staged a demonstration in front of the Backward Classes Department and Social Welfare Department Offices located in Jagjivan Ram Bhavan, Adipampa Road, Paduvarahalli, yesterday, seeking immediate admission of students in all Government-run hostels.

Maintaining that though classes (2019-20) have started over a month ago, hostels are yet to admit students, the protesters urged the Govt. to immediately start the admission process, set up more hostels for meeting student numbers and to improve the civic amenities and other infrastructure in existing hostels.

AIDSO office-bearers Asiya Begum, B. Ravi, B.N. Akash Kumar, Chandrakala and others were present.
