Mysuru: A KSRTC bus conductor has lodged a Police complaint against the driver accusing the latter of abusing using foul language and assaulting him. The conductor, who had lodged the complaint, is Appaiah while the accused driver is Dayanand, both attached to Madikeri KSRTC Depot.
On Mar. 13, when both were on duty in Madikeri-Mysuru-Bengaluru bus, a quarrel broke out between them at Sub-Urban Bus Stand in city over a petty issue.
According to the complaint, conductor Appaiah had gone to get the ticket entry done from the TC and by the time he came to the bus, driver Dayanand had started the bus and abused Appaiah for coming late. Though Appaiah told Dayanand that the TC was held up with work and hence it took a little extra time to get the entry done.
Later, Appaiah distributed tickets to passengers near Five Lights Circle Junction and stood near the bonnet of the bus, during which driver Dayanand reportedly picked up a fight with Appaiah and allegedly assaulted him.
Appaiah has further stated in the complaint that he then called his higher officials, reported about the incident, consumed painkiller tablets and completed his duty. The next day, Appaiah noticed that his hand was swollen and went to Madikeri District Hospital and following doctors’ advice, he got himself admitted for a day and took treatment, Appaiah stated in his complaint to the Police.
