Girl lodges Police complaint

Mysore/Mysuru: A 25-year-old girl has lodged a complaint against a youth for allegedly harassing her, pestering her to love him, blackmailing her, taking away Rs. 2 lakh cash and her scooter besides issuing life threats to her.

A case has been registered against the youth identified as T.K. Nikhil at Vijayanagar Police Station.

In her complaint, the girl has stated that during 2014-15, Nikhil, who was her neighbour, used to waylay her whenever she used to go for college and later for work, used to pester her to love him besides abusing her using foul language and harass her mentally. She has also stated that Nikhil used to threaten to kill her if she tries to marry someone else.

The complaint further stated that Nikhil had clicked her private photos secretly, threatened her by saying that he would upload the photos on Facebook and WhastApp and had got Rs. 77,000 transferred to his Bank account through Google Pay and had got Rs. 33,000 deposited to his account. Nikhil had received a total of Rs. 2 lakh from the girl.

In 2022, Nikhil, who told the girl that he had to go to see his father, took her Honda Dio scooter (KA-09-JH-1227) and had not returned her scooter till date.

The girl, in her complaint, has also stated that Nikhil comes in front of her present house in a car and keeps on pressing the horn of the car, call her by her name in the presence of many people and shout at her with his parents Sundar alias Kunjiram and Saroja supporting him.

Stating that Nikhil had assaulted her physically and mentally many times, the girl has further stated in the complaint that she has become depressed due to Nikhil’s behaviour and has urged the Police to take action against him. Vijayanagar Inspector Pradeep, who has registered a case, is investigating.
