An eyesore on KRS Road

December 16, 2024

Sir,

If you’re travelling to Brindavan Gardens via KRS Road, you cannot overlook the unsightly garbage pile-up just past the railway crossing near the Brigade Symphony Apartment.

This disheartening scene stands in stark contrast to Mysuru’s aspiration of being one of the cleanest cities in India. Passersby, whether on two-wheelers or in cars, routinely toss their trash here without a second thought, turning the area into an eyesore.

The adage ‘Cleanliness is next to Godliness’ must transcend words and find expression in our daily lives. While authorities have a responsibility to maintain cleanliness and enforce penalties for littering, citizens too must rethink their careless attitude toward public spaces.

Will we embrace a cleaner and more responsible way of living? Only time will tell.
