Anganwadi workers to take out Bengaluru Chalo on Sept. 2

Seeking fulfilment of their long-standing demands, Anganwadi workers and helpers, under the banner of AITUC-affiliated Karnataka State Anganwadi Workers and Helpers Federation, will take out a Bengaluru Chalo protest on Sept. 2.

The demands include scrapping of cash payment in lieu of food-grains to beneficiaries of Anganwadi Kendras, a hike in honorarium based on seniority of service, consideration of Anganwadi workers and helpers as Government servants, bringing Anganwadi workers under the umbrella of Social Security Schemes, powers to DC-headed Committee for revision of egg prices from time to time, bringing Anganwadi Kendras under a single App under POSHAN Scheme, monetary benefits upon retirement and starting of LKG & UKG classes in all Anganwadi Kendras instead of Government Schools, among others.
