Mysuru: Ganabharathi will be conducting its annual Sri Krishna Jayanthi-2026 Music Competitions on Aug. 22 at 4 pm and on Aug. 23 at 9 am at Veene Seshanna Bhavan in Kuvempunagar.

The competitions are open to participants in the age groups of 10-12 years; 13-17 years; 18-25 years; 26-40 years and 41 years.

The above competition is for those who have not yet completed the Vidwat-level examinations in music. Events include Karnatak classical music (vocal & instrumental),  percussion instruments, singing of Vachanas, Manku Thimmana Kagga Bhavageete singing,  a written quiz and essay competition.

Prescribed application forms are available at Ganabharathi Office from Aug. 1 during office hours (5 pm to 7 pm). Filled-in forms must be submitted before Aug. 15. For details, contact Ph: 0821-2560313, according to a press release from Ganabharathi Secretary C.G. Ravishankar.
