Mysore/Mysuru: The Department of Health and Family Welfare has appointed Dr. Eshwar B. Kanatki as the new Nanjangud Taluk Health Officer (In-Charge).

The post was lying vacant following the demise of Dr. S.R. Nagendra who ended his life by hanging at his residence at Alanahalli in city on Aug. 20, alleging harassment by a senior officer in the District Administration. 

Dr. Eshwar, who is currently serving as Health Officer at Mugur Primary Health Centre in T. Narasipur taluk of the district, is likely to take charge of the new posting later today, according to sources.
