Ashok’s road show for Simha

April 16, 2019

Mysuru: Thousands of BJP activists took part in the massive rally, organised by the District BJP Unit on the last day of public campaigning for Mysuru Lok Sabha constituency this morning. They urged the people to elect BJP candidate Pratap Simha to build a robust nation led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The rally that commenced from Gandhi Square, passed through the Clock Tower, K.R. Circle, Devaraj Urs Road, Shivarampet and other thorough fares of city.

A bike rally was also taken out by the youth appealing the people to bring BJP Government again in the Centre. The participation of large number of women was the major attraction of the rally.

Speaking after flagging off the rally, State BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister R. Ashok expressed confidence that the BJP would win at least 360 Lok Sabha seats including 22 seats in Karnataka with Modi wave across the nation.  He said that the party will bank on the in-fighting between coalition partners Congress and JD(S) leaders in this election. BJP will seek votes on development plank and for strong nation, while the Congress is seeking votes on caste lines, he added.

He said that the BJP had won all the elections wherever  Congress Legislature Party leader Siddharamaiah had campaigned across the State.

He ridiculed the bonhomie between Siddharamaiah and G.T. Devegowda at the recently held Chamundeshwari Congress and JD(S) rally as Shivaji hugging Afzal Khan, 17th Century General of Adil Shah Dynasty of Bijapur who always fought against Shivaji, the Maratha warrior.

Stating he had successfully organised Modi rallies at five different places in Karnataka as Modi’s Tour Coordinator in the State, he said Modi will address the other two rallies at Chikkodi and Bagalkot on Apr.18.  He alleged that Siddharamaiah’s poll strategy will not work out in this poll and he himself suffered humiliating defeat in the last year’s Chamundeshwari Assembly election.
