Hunsur: Assistant Police Sub-Inspector Rudregowda of Hunsur Town Police Station was injured when the Police vehicle he was travelling in and driven by Constable Shekar allegedly hit an electric pole near Kalpatharu Circle here today.

The pole got uprooted due to the impact damaging the vehicle badly. Shekar, however, escaped unhurt. The public have urged the authorities concerned to instal a new electric pole soon. CESC AEE Siddappa and Assistant Engineer Umesh visited the spot.
