BAI felicitates 17 meritorious children of construction workers

Mysore/Mysuru: Builders’ Association of India (BAI), Mysore Centre, in association with Mysore Builders Charitable Trust (MBCT), had organised a programme to felicitate 17 meritorious children of construction workers who scored more than 80% marks in the recently concluded SSLC and II PUC exams at a programme held at MBCT Auditorium in city.

 R. Raghunath, Chairman, BAI, Mysore Centre, congratulated all the meritorious children of construction workers and spoke elaborately about the tradition of felicitation by BAI to all of them. He also gave a brief report about the activities of BAI.

Manjula, Retd. DDPI of Mysuru, who was the chief guest, advised the students how to gain and improve their knowledge.

A.V. Sridhar, Managing Trustee of MBCT, who was the guest of honour, requested the students to utilise the benefits provided to them and a special mention was made appreciating the efforts of BAI Mysore in                   conducting many programmes to the students.

 A. Dinesh and K.L. Gururaj read the citation of the 17 deserving children of the construction workers who have talents in sports, cultural activities and scored more than 80% marks.

 The chief guest felicitated all the students with certificates, mementoes, note books, pens and cash prizes. Spoorthi (BAI Ladies Wing) President Vani Subramanya announced a special cash prize for 4 topper girl students in memory of late Madhavi Gurushanthappa, Past President of Spoorthi.

 Naganandhini contributed a cash prize in memory of her late husband J.V.R. Naidhruva for 2 topper boy students; Ramprasad couple contributed the books called “Life Skill Development” to all the students while K.R. Yoganarasimhan donated bags.

 Student R. Sneha rendered invocation. V. Srinath, Hon. Secretary, BAI, Mysore Centre, proposed a vote of thanks. Jahanavi Dinesh, Spoorthi Member, compered.
