Balavendra Peter (63), retired Railway Workshop employee and a resident of Vivekanandanagar, passed away yesterday afternoon at a private hospital in city following a brief illness.

An active member of Our Lady of Perpetual Succour Church at Srirampura, he leaves behind his wife Maria G. Fernandes, Advertisement Manager, Star of Mysore and a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral Service took place at Our Lady of Perpetual Succour Church at Srirampura today afternoon followed by burial at Catholic Cemetery in Vidyaranyapuram, according to family sources.
