Ban orders around counting centre in Mysuru on May 13

Mysore/Mysuru: With the counting of votes of all the 11 Assembly segments of Mysuru district scheduled to take place on May 13 at Maharani’s College of Commerce and Management for Women on Valmiki Road in  Paduvarahalli, the city Police have clamped 24-hour prohibitory order around the centre under Sec.144 of CrPC, from 6 am on May 13 till 6 am on May 14, in order to ensure smooth counting of votes.

Accordingly, no unauthorised person is allowed entry to the counting centre and gathering in groups of more than 5 people in 200 mts radius of the counting centre has been banned. Also, bursting of crackers at public places and in residential localities has been prohibited and no person is allowed to carry explosives and other lethal weapons.

Further, use of loud speakers, DJ etc., will not be allowed and holding of bike rally is also banned, according to an order issued by City Police Commissioner B. Ramesh.
