Barricades on Ring Road make no sense

December 6, 2025

Sir,

Yesterday, I travelled from Hebbal to Srirampura and found ten barricades placed along just 13 kilometres of the Ring Road. These barricades were causing severe traffic congestion, especially at the points where they were installed.

Vehicles from both the right and left lanes were forced to merge into the centre to snake through the gaps, leaving no room for smooth traffic flow.

What is the purpose of installing so many barricades when they hinder traffic instead of facilitating it?

Will the Traffic Police authorities please address this issue and set it right?
