BCCI Men’s One Day Tournament 2019: Ashish, Shlok shine for Baroda

Inspiring batting performances by opener Ashish Patel (79, 102b, 12×4) and his valuable 75-run second-wicket partnership with Shlok Sandip Desai (52, 79b, 4×4) enabled Baroda to register a facile six-wicket win over hosts Karnataka in the BCCI Men’s One-Day Tournament Plate ‘A’ match played at JSS-SJCE Grounds here, yesterday.

Batting first, Karnataka helped by some good batting by middle-order batsman Aman F. Khan (62, 73b, 3×4, 5×6) and Vishnu Priyan (52, 72b, 1×4, 1×6) who added 51-runs for the fifth wicket, scored 221 for eight in 50 overs. In reply, Baroda scored 223 for four in 49.2 overs and registered a six-wicket win.

Siddesh, Mohit excel

Good batting by opener Siddesh Kishor Wath (64,73b, 10×4) and Mohit Rajendra Kale (64, 79b, 6×4) enabled Vidarbha to register a five wicket win over Jammu & Kashmir at SDNR Wadiyar Stadium. Jammu & Kashmir batting first scored 225 in 49.3 overs. Jiyaad Nazir Magrey (46,76b, 4×4) top scored. In reply, Vidarbha scored 229 for five in 46 overs and scored a five-wicket win.

In the other game at PET, Mandya, a valuable ninth-wicket partnership of 42-runs between Siddarth Manimaran (30, 15b,5×4, 1×6) and Rahul D. Devendran (21 n.o, 13b, 2×6) enabled Tamil Nadu to register a exciting one-wicket win over Madhya Pradesh. Batting first, Madhya Pradesh scored 232 in 49.2 overs and in reply Tamil Nadu scored 233 for nine in 49.2 overs.
