BJP, Brahmana Yuva Vedike hold candlelight protest

Mysuru: Narasimharaja (NR) Constituency BJP Unit and Brahmana Yuva Vedike also staged a candlelight protest and also paid tributes to those who were gunned down by the terrorists.

The members of Narasimharaja Constituency BJP Unit, who assembled near Gayathripuram Bus Stand, lit candles and took out a silent march till Kittur Rani Chennamma Circle near SP Office Circle on Thursday.

Speaking on the occasion, former Mayor Sandesh Swamy held the Jammu and Kashmir Government responsible for security lapses leading to the killings of innocent Hindu tourists.

He said that the J&K Government should have deployed Police forces as security to tourists which they had not done leading to such an incident. He urged the Centre to take stringent action against those responsible for the killings.

BJP leaders Giridhar, Manju, Padmanabh, Muralidhar, Jogi Manju, Naveen, Raju, Shalini, Kavitha Singh, Lakshman, Shivanandarao and others were present.

Brahmana Yuva Vedike: Brahmana Yuva Vedike members, praying for the souls of those who were killed by the terrorists to rest in peace, paid tributes to the deceased tourists and chanted ‘peace manthra’ at Hoysala Karnataka Sangha premises on Narayana Shastry Road in city Thursday evening.

Raghuram Vajpayee, Hoysala Karnataka Sangha President K.R. Sathyanarayan, former Corporators M.V. Ramprasad and M.D. Parthasarathy, Congress leader N.M. Naveen Kumar, District Brahmin Yuva Vedike President H.N. Sridharmurthy, Vid. Krishnamurthy, Vikram Iyengar, Ajay Shastri, T.S. Arun and others were present.
