Mysore/Mysuru: At a function held at District Kannada Sahitya Parishat (KSP), Vijayanagar First Stage in the city recently, retired Bangalore University Professor Basavaraju Kalgudi released the book ‘Ammanagudda-Antarala’ written by Prof. C. Sarvamangala. The function was organised by Kannada Writers Trust to commemorate International Women’s Day.

Speaking after releasing the book, Prof. Basavaraju Kalgudi said that through her book ‘Ammanagudda-Antarala’ author Prof. Sarvamangala has narrated the daily travails of a woman meaningfully through her poems. He also read a few poems from the book and explained their meaning. Later, retired Professor Dr. H.M. Kalashree spoke about International Women’s Day. Professor of Kannada Studies Centre, University of Mysore, Dr. S.D. Shashikala, District KSP President Maddikere Gopal, President of the Trust Prof.Padma Shekar,  Secretary Hema Nandish, Assistant Secretary Meena Mysuru, Maina Kariyappa and others were present.
