Book release and awards presentation on Mar. 9

Marking the 64th birthday of its Founder-President M.B. Santosh, the city’s Mysuru Sahitya Mattu Samskrutika Pratishtana has organised a programme at Rotary auditorium on JLB Road in city at 10 am on Mar. 9. On the occasion, Santosh’s   work Vachana Vyvidhya (collection of modern Vachanas) and writer B. Shobha’s book Manada Haikugalu will be released.

Haiku is a form of poetry that focuses on a brief moment in time and a sense of sudden illumination or enlightenment. A Haiku is usually composed of 17 syllables in 3 short lines. Also, achievers from various  fields will be conferred with different awards at the event. The awardees are: Mahipal Reddy Munnoor (Karunada Sadhana Ratna Award), Dr. Mallinath S. Talwar (Karunada Sahitya Ratna Award), Dr. Somashekar (Vidyavaridhi Award), Uluvangada Kaveri Udaya (Bahubhasha Sahitya Chetana Award), K.N. Hitaish Bhushan & Ronith T. Girish (Balashree Award), H.N. Nagasiri & V. Bhuvanth (Yuvashree Award).
