Mysore/Mysuru: BSS Vidyodaya School, Krishnamurthypuram, Mysuru, conducted its Annual Sports Meet recently.
Veena Ashok, a renowned mountaineer and ultra-distance cyclist, who was the chief guest, formally declared the Sports Meet open. In her inspiring address, she quoted Swami Vivekananda, stating that one comes closer to strength and character on the football field than through mere theory.
She encouraged students to play with passion, compete with honesty and believe that one day they too would stand on such a prestigious stage.

School Secretary R. Vasudev Bhat emphasised that a strong body and a strong mind are essential for the future generation.
He stated that while academics sharpen intelligence, sports shape vital life skills by teaching discipline, teamwork and the joy of celebrating others’ success.
Trustee Muralidhar Bhat, Principal Navya Jagadeesh and Unit Head Sheshakamala Prasad were present.

Students presented an impressive march-past, representing the four Houses of BSS Vidyodaya — Abhimanyu, Dhruva, Nachiketha and Prahalada.
Various track and field events were conducted for students from Grades 1 to 7, followed by lively fun sports events for parents.
The Meet concluded with the distribution of prizes to the winners. S.A. Gagana compered the programme.
