Bus Shelter needed near Gun House Circle

June 6, 2019

Sir,

I endorse the views of N. Devarajan of Nanjangud (Star of Mysore dated May 15) on the need for Bus Shelters near Devaraj Urs bridge (Nanjangud). Same is the case at the Gun House Circle in Mysuru.

Sans any shelter, presently people bound for Nanjangud side are forced to stand in the open exposing themselves to sun and rain.

After road widening on this stretch, there is enough space to construct a small bus shelter on the eastern side of the road (Dasara Exhibition side).

On behalf of hundreds of commuters, I appeal to the authorities concerned to look into this and build a shelter at this spot too. Isn’t it the bounden duty of civic bodies to identify such things and provide the required facility without waiting for a complaint / representation from the public?
