C.S. Krishnan

C.S. Krishnan (90), retired foundry consultant and engineer, passed away due to illness at a hospital this morning.

He leaves behind his son C.K. Muralidharan (sports correspondent), daughter Uma, daughter-in- law Uma, grandson Kiran and his wife Shobana and a host of relatives and friends.  Cremation took place at Chirashantidhama in Gokulam today.

Krishnan had also worked as Engineer in Lakshmi Mission Works in Coimbatore. A polyglot, he was well-versed in 16 languages including French, German, Italian, Japanese and Spanish. He had  also worked as a translator for Japan team when World Table Tennis Tourney was held in Kolkata in 1974.
