Mysore/Mysuru: Certificates were distributed to 253 candidates, who underwent training organised by District Home Guards, at a programme held at DAR community hall in Jyothinagar here yesterday.

Distributing the certificates, Additional SP L. Nagesh said that Home Guards was a good platform for people to serve the society and advised the newly trained Home Guards to work in adherence with the Police Department in maintaining Law and Order, Traffic, Government Hospitals and Industrial sectors.

“Home Guards must have patience and politeness while interacting with the public along with being disciplined,” he said.

Mysuru District Home Guards Hon. Commandant Dr. M. Kantharaju, trainers M.R. Chandan and S. Manjunath, Assistant Administrative Officer M.N. Vishwanath and others were present on the occasion. Out of 344 Home Guards, 253 have completed the training.
