Chain snatcher arrested: 2 gold chains worth Rs. 2.40 lakh recovered

Mysuru: City Crime Branch (CCB) Police on Apr. 7 arrested a person near People’s Park on charges of committing chain snatching in Nazarbad Police limits on Mar. 30.

During interrogation, the accused is said to have snatched two gold chains in Nazarbad Police limits and based on the information provided by the accused, the Police have recovered two gold chains weighing 28 grams and worth Rs. 2.40 lakh from him. Following the arrest, the Police have solved two chain snatching cases in Nazarbad Police limits.

DCP (Crime and Traffic) K.S. Sundar Raj and CCB ACP Mohammad Sharif Rawathar guided CCB Inspector M. Mohan Kumar, Sub-Inspectors Mallavva Bhandi and Maruthi Antharagatti, ASIs M.R. Ganesh and Ramegowda and staff Ramaswamy, Prakash, Jayaram, Suresh, Mahesh, Uma Mahesh, Narasimharaju, Mahesh, Shivanna, Ravi, Govinda, Mamata and Ramya took part in the nabbing and recovery operation.
