‘Change career once in ten years’

Mysuru: “It is always a good idea to change one’s career every 10 years which enhances one’s skills and experience in different fields and this is one of the ways to learn new things in life,” said M.K. Narayanswamy, Managing Director, Mysore Embedded Technology Institution.

He was speaking after inaugurating the valedictory of the PG Students Forum of Vidyavardhaka PG Centre organised by the Vidyavardhaka First Grade College at the College auditorium here recently. He said that students should have a passion for what they are doing and have patience and perseverance to achieve one’s goals.

Giving his own example of his entrepreneurial journey and how he obtained three American patents under his name, he stressed on the ‘inspirational- little voice’ the individual should first listen to.

Honorary Treasurer of  Vidyavardhaka Sangha S.N.Lakshminarayana , said that students should always think positive and treat failures as a stepping stone for success.

Principal of the college Dr.S. Marigowda elaborated the various curricular and non curricular activities that were held in the PG Department during the year and advised the students to take up competitive examinations like IAS., IPS.,KAS etc. to excel in their life.

Honorary President Gundappa Gowda presided. Dr.G.M. Rajeshwari who was awarded Ph.D in Commerce by the University of Mysore, S. Chaithra and P.R. Jyothi, who have secured sixth and seventh rank respectively in the final M.Com examination held in June 2017 were felicitated on the occasion.

The sixth volume of the college Newsletter “VVPGC —Image” was released. Prizes were distributed to winners of various sports events. The scholarship for the meritorious students were also awarded on the occasion.

Dr. S. Ashwini, Head of the Department of PG Centre welcomed, V.M. Chaithra of M.Com (final) proposed a vote of thanks. B.N. Poornima of final year M.Com  rendered the invocation, A.M. Akshatha and Talib Junaid both of final year M.Com compeered.
