Chief Minister’s Gold Medal for 121 Police Officers

Mysore/Mysuru: Just a couple of days after the announcement of the Chief Minister’s Gold  Medal to 122 Police Officers for the year 2018, the State Government, yesterday, announced the list of 121 Police Officers who bagged the medal for the year 2017, for their distinguished services.

Among those who bagged the CM’s Gold medal for 2017 include Udupi SP N. Vishnuvardhana, who had served as DCP in Mysuru before being promoted last year, K.N. Yeshwanth Kumar, who was recently promoted as Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) and had served in Mysuru as Police Inspector earlier, Dakshina Kannada District Additional SP Dr. Vikram Amate, who had served as DCP in Mysuru earlier, Mysuru PTS DySP P. Umesh, KPA Assistant Director V. Kumar, Mandya Circle Inspector K.M. Harish Babu, Kushalnagar Circle Inspector M. Mahesh, H.D. Kote PSI V.C. Ashok, Chamarajanagar Traffic PSI L. Deepak, Kodagu District Control Room ASI B.K. Suresh, Mysuru CCB Head Constable (HC) C. Chikkanna, Somwarpet HC T.S. Shaji, Mysuru ACB HC N. Manjunath Rao, Nanjangud Intelligence HC Shivakumar, Mandya DPO HC Ramesh and Mysuru DCRE Woman Constable Kathyayini.

All the 243 Police Officers (122 of year 2018 and 121 of 2017) will be presented with medals by Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa at a programme organised at Vidhana Soudha Banquet Hall in Bengaluru at 9 am on Mar.19.

Inspector Gopikrishna gets CM’s Gold medal

Police Inspector K.R. Gopikrishna who is currently serving as Kundapura CPI, has bagged the CM’s Gold medal for 2018. 

He was part of the STF to nab forest brigand Veerappan in 2004. Gopikrishna had earlier served at various districts in the State.
